Starting Dapplegrey

DOSBox isn't included in Dapplegrey and needs to be installed separately. Like copying Dapplegrey into your Applications folder, it is preferred to copy DOSBox into your Applications folder as well. If an Application is located within a Disk Image (*.dmg file), it is recommended to copy the included Application out of the Disk Image.
When Dapplegrey starts, it'll take a look into your Applications folder to find DOSBox or DBGL, but if these Applications can't be found, Dapplegrey will ask you for the location of DOSBox.
This can be set using the Preferences window as well.

Drag & Drop of DOS applications

If the file information of a DOS executable file (*.bat, *.exe, *.com) has been set to Dapplegrey, the file will be directed to DOSBox, using standard preferences of DOSBox. If DOSBox closes immediately, either the application may cannot be run in DOS mode or DOSBox won't use the language file given.
If you double-click a game that already has been added to the user's games list, Dapplegrey will also forward the settings of this game.

System requirements

Like DOSBox, Dapplegrey runs on PowerPC G3 Macintoshes and newer including the successor models equipped with Intel processors with Mac OS X 10.4 and newer installed.

If DOSBox doesn‘t run, try to install the SDL library available here: http://www.libsdl.org/download-1.2.php
